Our Boadua clutch bag is named after Maame Boadua, a cocoa farmer who farms at Sehwi Ahwiam, the inspiration behind the "Chocolate Has A Name" project. This storied bag comes with a front patch pocket made from leftover textiles, lining and inside pockets made with cotton-based flour bags, and comfortable leather shoulder straps with a magnetic clasp closure.

Materials:

This handmade storied bag is upcycled from jute sacks initially made for the export of cocoa beans from Ghana. All leather parts are sourced from Kantamanto, one of West Africa's largest hubs for second-hand goods. The inner lining is made from empty wheat flour sacks sourced from local bakeries, and other textile parts are created from leftover wax prints.

Care Instructions:

- Expect shedding of jute fibers upon initial use.
- Jute fabric is highly resistant to dirt, so washing is unnecessary.
- Spot clean only if stained.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Wipe clean the leather parts.
- Hand wash the inner lining separately when needed and air dry.
- Store the bag away from direct sunlight and keep it in a dust bag when not in use.
Extra care should be taken when wearing the storied bag against delicate skin or fabric.
