Our Sintim storied tote bag is named after Adjoa Sintim, the most enterprising Ghanaian female cocoa farmer of 2022, who farms at Sankore. Inspired by both her Northern and Southern heritage, this storied bag features a front patch pocket made from indigenous woven Batakari from Northern Ghana, lining and inside pockets made with cotton-based flour bags, a combination of sturdy jute and leather straps, and a magnetic clasp closure.

Materials:
This handmade storied bag is upcycled from jute sacks made for the export of cocoa beans from Ghana.Remnants of hand woven Batakari All leather parts are sourced from Kantamanto, one of West Africa's largest hubs for second-hand goods. The inner lining is made from empty wheat flour sacks sourced from local bakeries, and all packaging is made from recycled paper.

Care Instructions:
- Jute fabric is highly resistant to dirt, so washing is unnecessary.
- Spot clean only if stained.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Wipe clean the leather parts.
- Hand wash the inner lining separately when needed and air dry.
- Store the bag away from direct sunlight and keep it in a dust bag when not in use.
Extra care should be taken when wearing the storied bag against delicate skin or fabric.
